Ruby Update

We've had no more blood since yesterday morning.  The prevailing thought is that her tube irritated her throat.  In typical Ruby fashion she laughed and smiled at her Doctors yesterday while I tried to explain that something might be horribly wrong.   It's hard to convince people she spit up blood when she giggles when having her stomach touched.  So, for now we'll just keep an eye on her.

Yesterday was Chris's Birthday.  We got a sitter (Becky you are awesome!) and went to dinner with friends.  Chris really wanted to try Franks, a new hot dog place downtown.  It was a fun and a much needed night out with our friends. Having Becky babysit was so nice.  I figured if Ruby spit up again a Nurse would know what to do better than I.

I'm hoping for a nice calm day today.  After yesterday, I think we all deserve it.  In all the craziness yesterday I forgot to take pictures.  Here is one from this weekend.  I will also give a full update on all her check-ups later today, too.

Hi there Holly and

Hi there Holly and Chris,
Ruby looks amazing, and it is good to see that she continues to grow and thrive, as I've just checked the posts for the last month or so. I love the way your photos capture her personality, and how Ruby's smile can melt my heart, even though I've never met her in person. Hopefully it won't be too long until a trip to Austin will give me the opportunity to visit. Till then, know I am still rootin' for you guys and your remarkable Ruby.
Love,
Marie
