While we are very grateful that Ruby is doing so well. We are very grateful that we had the means and ability to go to CHOP and have her. We have had the most horrible luck since we got home when comes to our house and cars. Since we got home we've needed a new roof and a repair of rotted wood on our workshop. Then appliances started breaking. So far the oven, microwave, dishwasher, and dryer. Some were under warranty and the rest we've had to replace or fix. Then this morning the check engine light on one of our cars came on. It's going into the shop this week to be fixed. Not exactly the best luck around here as far house stuff goes.
Now for a feeding update. I pulled the tube Friday before lunch. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday Ruby took 16-18 ounces of formula and ate well, too. Then today as of 6pm she had only taken 6 ounces of formula. Without tube she has to take her reflux meds by mouth. Sometimes she swallows them no problem. Other times she will spit it right back out. She wouldn't nap today and I know her reflux was hurting her. The Nexium doesn't keep her from refluxing, it just neutralizes the acid so it doesn't hurt. She would cry and cry every time I laid her down, even if she was already asleep. So, this evening I put the NG tube back in. While we feel she did really well, we knew we would have to put it back in. We'll give her a couple days to recover and then try again.
Lost is on and I haven't downloaded the most recent pictures. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. For now it's time sit back and relax.

Hang in there! We had a
Hang in there! We had a string of bad luck with our house/cars like that last summer, during which we ended up replacing a few appliances and a car. And all that during a bathroom remodel. So I feel your pain! Hope Ruby'd reflux gets better. The reflux monster can be a tough one to battle. We've been fortunate that prilosec has always worked well for Sofie. Good feeding vibes to Ruby!!

So sorry about your recent
So sorry about your recent luck...hopefully things will get better soon!
(I have my door sensor light on in my car and the doors won't lock...kind of a weird issue with my Subaru, going to the dealership today to get it checked out.)
I've been thinking that our little ones first birthdays are just around the corner...I can't even believe it! What a year we've had, huh?
Again, hope your luck turns around soon!
Hugs to all of you!

Sorry about all the broken
Sorry about all the broken stuff! With regard to the reflux meds by mouth, I just wanted to say, it takes some time but they eventually get used to it. Dakota started out spitting it out and crying when I had to give them to her, by the time we were weaning her off of them (a few months later) she was grabbing the syringe, putting it in her mouth, and sucking eagerly on it. It's just a different taste they get used to.
By the way, I love LOST!!!!!!! My favorite show! Last night was intense!!!!
Hugs,
Jennifer
